He discusses concerns upon discharging patients from the Emergency Department and the amount of resources used to monitor patients with minimal injuries. Dr. David Spain is a professor of surgery, the program director of surgical critical care, and chief of trauma and critical care surgery at Stanford University in Stanford, California.
